Educational Programs
Several Educational Workshops for our congregations are currently being developed by the NTAUUS Education Committee.
NTAUUS also supports the NATUURES group for our Directors of Religious Education and other professionals working with youth from our North Texas congregations.
NATUURES
North Area Texas Unitarian Universalist Religious Educators, or NATUURES, meets on the third Thursday of each month to share best practices and information regarding curriculum and upcoming events. Members of NATUURES work together to strengthen all of the congregations in North Texas by leveraging their talents, skills and resources. NATUURES is extremely grateful for the generous support of NTAUUS. This support has made it possible for us to bring outstanding training sessions to the volunteer teachers and advisors in our congregations.
NATUURES Mission: To gather Professional Religious Educators working with adults, children, and youth throughout North Texas for the purpose of personal, professional, and spiritual support, nurturing growth, and sustaining us in our ministries.
NATUURES Vision: Carrying the flame of Unitarian Universalism that lights the way to justice and salvation in the Here and Now.
NATUURES Covenant:
We, the Professional Religious Educators of North Texas covenant to engage in This Holy Work by:
-
Honoring commitments and actively engaging in the work of NATUURES,
-
Maintaining appropriate confidentiality regarding information shared of both the personal and professional nature, and
-
Publicly supporting our faith and the professionalism of our colleagues in word and deed.
We affirm our dedication to this covenant and to each other by taking our tasks seriously and ourselves lightly and supporting each other spiritually and emotionally so that we will contribute to making our work relevant, meaningful, and successful.
